Chile – Independence Day + Santiago

This post will be more of a photo gallery. (: We spent about a week here. Chile is so expensive!! It really setback our budgeting but, we had a great time.

Before we left Peru, we tried alpaca. It was so good, tasted like beef. This is a volcanic stone that the meat continued to sizzle on.

When we arrived we celebrated Chile’s Independence Day!

First, we stayed at a cabin to meet Tim’s friend, Chris. And also met up with more of Chris’s friend. We were at an beachy area north of Chile by the coast.

Next, we continued to explore in Santiago. Below are photos of us at the tallest tower, Costanera, in South America.

We also learned about a new religion called
Baha’i Faith, This religion focuses on the essential harmony of all religion and unity of humanity. This raised many questions and reminded me of my minor in consciousness, the idea of oneness. The temple is beautiful and overlooks Santiago city.

Below I found a great introduction video explaining the religion.

Upcoming post: Argentina— known for Malbec wine + steak, absolutely amazing
