Buenos Aires, Argentina

Late post** due to a spending an amazing time at a retreat where I became one with nature and avoided all apps/social devices.

— After Iguazu Falls and Patagonia, I was excited to be back in a big city. It’s crazy to think that the Perito Moreno Glacier is slightly larger than Buenos Aires city.. A glacier that I got to see right before my eyes.

If you missed that post and curious to what the glacier looks like click here. The glacier is 50 kilometers (bout 31 miles) long and 60 metres high.

The first day exploring, there was a huge celebration representing a past leader. I loved the energy and the vibe. The streets were closed. And there was many food stands at every corner.

Peron was his name!!
This is what would be cooking @ every corner

Cafe Tortoni is often visited and was very close to the hostel. Maybe just 2 or 3 blocks away. It opened in 1858. There was a line out the door for something that wasn’t too extravagant. I’m thinking it was more for the history and popularity. A tango dancer, Carlos Gardel, would come to the cafe. This spot had become a meet up spot for famous scholars and artists throughout its lifetime.

Floreria Atlantico is considered one of the best bars in the world. When visited, it was number eighteen.. it was a super cool experience. It appears as a floral shop but there was a secret door that lead to the stairway. The bar was hidden right below.

Next we got to visit a super cool city home to tango. The area is known as La Boca.. check out the video below to see tango dancing at a restaurant!

And to end this post with my favorite.. food!! From a delicious Parilla.
